Getting To Underground Arts

We are located at 1200 Callowhill Street between 12th and 13th in Philadelphia, PA 19123.
There is an independently operated parking lot located across the street from the Underground Arts front entrance on Callowhill Street. There are several other neighborhood parking lots as well as metered and unmetered street parking within walking distance. You can also use the official PPA parking locator app to find all types of parking in the area around our venue.

Underground Arts is easily accessible by train, bus, or taxi.

Ticket Purchases, Will Call & E-Tickets

The best places to purchase Underground Arts tickets are:
– On our website: Online purchases are handled by our ticketing partner, SeeTickets.
– Tickets are also available for purchase directly from our Box Office in the front lobby during all events. We accept most major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

Will Call tickets can be picked up at the Box Office window in the lobby before you enter the main room. You’ll need your photo ID and order confirmation to pick up your tickets.

E-Tickets – please be ready with your “Print-At-Home” paper ticket or Mobile QR code ticket at the door to be scanned. All E-Ticket barcodes can be scanned directly from your phone – please remember to have your screen brightness turned up so it’s easy for our scanners to read your ticket!

What are your box office hours?

The Underground Arts box office, located in the lower lobby at 1200 Callowhill, is available for ticket purchases any time we are open for a show.

FYI: When purchasing at the box office, there are no service fees for cash purchases, and significantly reduced fees for credit card purchases!

What time do shows start?

Shows usually start one hour after the posted door opening time. Please check individual event listings for specific information regarding your show.

Seating

Underground Arts is a General Admission standing venue. When a show offers seating, it will be specifically mentioned within the event description + on your ticket.

Is Underground Arts ADA Accessible?

Yes, we have an elevator and lift system to help access the venue. If you require accessibility, please make sure to let our event staff know when you get here. You may also reach out to the venue at info@undergroundarts.org in advance of the show so our staff can expect you.

We also offer accessible bathrooms, as well as easy access to the bar and merchandise.

Age + ID Requirements

Most shows at Underground Arts are 21+. Every show will indicate the age requirement on the show’s ticketing page, which is accessible via the venue’s homepage. For shows with a minimum age requirement, or if you plan to drink at an all-ages show, ticket holders must show either a valid photo driver’s license, photo state ID card, armed forces photo ID, or a photo passport to gain entry.

For shows where minors are permitted, all children 12 years old and under must have adequate over-ear or in-ear hearing protection.

Can I change the name on a ticket order?

All changes for ticket pick ups must be done through the entity you purchased through.

Does Underground Arts have a bar?

Yes we do. Please be prepared to present a valid picture ID upon request.

Does Underground Arts serve food?

Yes we do – food + small bites are available for purchase directly at the bar.

Does Underground Arts have a smoking section?

The City of Philadelphia banned smoking indoors at public buildings. Patrons must exit the venue in order to smoke cigarettes. When smoking in front of the venue, please be aware that Underground Arts is located in the basement of a residential building. We would appreciate if you dispose of your cigarettes in one of the provided ash trays, and if you could, please keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb the residents living in the building.

Does Underground Arts have a coat check?

Our coat check is open during the cold season.

Where is the nearest lodging?

Underground Arts is located at 1200 Callowhill Street and is within a 5 minute walk of Center City, where numerous hotels are located.

Can I bring a camera, video, or audio recorder?

There are no cameras, video recorders, or audio recorders permitted in the venue. All media passes must be approved by band management.

Do you have a lost and found?

If you lose a personal belonging, send an email to info@undergroundarts.org. If you realize that you’ve lost something while you are still in the venue, notify a member of the event staff and they will help you look for it.

Please leave these items at home:

No outside food, beverages, flyers, stickers, handbills, mace, knives, or tools of vandalism will be permitted into the venue.

Accepted Forms of Payment

We accept most major credit cards at the box office including MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We also have an ATM located directly across from the box office window, if you need to withdraw cash at the show.

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final. We don’t issue any refunds or exchanges unless a show is canceled or rescheduled to a date you are unable to attend.

What is your re-entry policy?

Re-entry is allowed during shows through the front exit – just show your hand stamp or wristband at the door to get back in.
